Our club is gearing up to another exciting season of golf, packed full of old and new activities. This year Winter has been longer than some of us would have like, so we can't wait to return to all of the courses, practice greens and ranges.
We are incredibly excited to get the new season underway, and visit some of our favourite golf courses. The club has made some good friends over the past years and we are confident that they will have their courses ready for us to experience. We also continue to get new club members excited to join and we look forward to helping them on their journey to becoming passionate golfers here in Vienna.
For our first official gathering of the season, you are cordially invited to the Annual General Meeting of the club on 11 March at 18.00 (refreshments available as of 17.30) at the Restaurant Oide Donau next to the VIC as our location. This year we will be in the restaurant itself, which should prove to be a much more enjoyable and easier to find location. We will reflect on the past season and review the club’s financial documents and records, determine the Calendar for the next season and elect the Executive Committee of the club.
The Executive Committee consists of the president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, captain plus 2 co-captains and the activities convenor. All but one of the current committee members have expressed their willingness to stand again in their roles. We have been looking for a new treasurer for the upcoming season, and are grateful for those that have already expressed interest. Of course, if there is anyone else interested in taking on this or any other role, please go to our website where you can find the form to fill out and submit. The deadline for submission is 8 March 2024. At our AGM we will present the nominees and call for a vote. Please note that for President, Treasurer and Secretary you must be a current staff member of a United Nations/specialized agency-Vienna based organization.
